LinkIT builds custom software that connects a repair order with its vehicle, photos, parts, and invoice. Insurance estimating stays in the platform the shop already uses.
What we build
Custom shop software for independent body and repair shops, built around the job:
- Repair orders that tie together the vehicle, the customer and the work.
- Photos at each stage, attached to the repair order instead of a camera roll.
- Parts from shared inventory, counted when they go on the car.
- Invoices and receipts written from the same repair order.
- Customer and vehicle history by VIN, so the next visit starts where the last one ended.
What stays where it is
Insurance estimating stays in your estimating platform. We don't import estimates, connect to insurers or run direct repair programs. We also don't build ADAS calibration, parts-supplier ordering, paint and materials tracking or a digital inspection product.
Related work
We have not shipped a body shop system yet. These are the closest things we have built:
- VINtage Garage is our own iPhone app for car owners. It keeps a VIN-keyed record of service history, parts, costs, photos and documents.
- Gokul Wholesale and ANG Wholesale run on platforms we built, with inventory, a counter POS with barcode scanning and receipts, invoices and customer credit. More on POS systems.
- A field service platform where work orders, photos, signatures and a draft invoice share one record. Read the field service write-up.
Where we work
We build from Chicago for independent shops in Illinois, Wisconsin and Indiana.
How a build starts
We review the current repair order, photo storage, and parts workflow with your team. The first version connects those records for one vehicle and job. We agree the review schedule and handoff requirements during scoping; you own the system.
