What we do

Sales stages, customer records and follow-up

LinkIT builds custom CRMs around a team’s sales stages, intake, follow-up and review needs. Each customer record keeps the information needed for the current stage, its owner and its next action.

    Capture the enquiry

Bring forms, mailboxes or existing handoffs into the pipeline.

  2. 02

    Keep the next action visible

Attach tasks and reminders to the customer’s current sales stage.

  3. 03

    Review the pipeline

See what moved, what is waiting and what needs attention.

When sales records are split between a CRM, inboxes, and spreadsheets, pipeline reviews require reconciliation. LinkIT builds CRMs with the stages, fields, and follow-up tools the team needs to keep a shared record.

The scope covers day-to-day sales work and the views used to review it.

The problem we take on

Existing CRMs can fit a team well when their data model and workflow are configurable enough. We assess the gaps before recommending a custom system.

We review the time it takes to record a deal, the fields people skip, and the reports they rebuild outside the CRM.

What we build

The build focuses on lead intake, pipeline records, follow-up, and review.

  • Intake that lands in the pipeline — a form, a mailbox, or a handoff from an existing site — without re-typing the lead.
  • A pipeline that uses the team's real stages, with the one or two fields that matter at each step instead of a thirty-field edit screen.
  • The follow-up the process requires — tasks, reminders, a list of what is stalling — with a visible next action and owner.
  • A review view leadership can open: what is in play, what moved, what is stuck.

Read the custom CRM case study for the system and workflow details.

A CRM can connect with a wholesale ordering portal. The CRM manages sales activity; the portal manages customer accounts and orders. We scope those responsibilities separately.

Who this is for

Owners and sales leads whose current tools do not support their sales stages, handoffs, or reporting needs.

It is a poor fit if you need a full marketing cloud, a CPQ suite, or a multi-year Salesforce transformation. Those broader programs are outside this service’s scope.

For help comparing configuration with a custom build, read the build-vs-buy CRM note.

How we work

We review the current stages, fields, and reports, then build intake and a pipeline board against representative deals. The old tool can remain in use during validation. Follow-up and review features come next, with progress notes at the agreed cadence.

LinkIT is based in Chicago and works with teams around Chicago and the Midwest.

Before we build

Good questions.
Clear answers.

A little more about the work, the scope, and what to expect.

Why not just configure Salesforce or HubSpot?

Configure an existing product when it meets your requirements. A custom build may fit when the necessary stages, records, or handoffs cannot be configured adequately.

What do you build?

A CRM: intake, the pipeline, the records people update, and the views used in a pipeline review. We do not rebuild a full RevOps suite, marketing automation platform, or every Salesforce cloud.

Have you shipped one?

Yes. We built a custom CRM platform that is in use. The case study describes the workflow and implementation; the client is unnamed.

Is this the same as your Web2 growth work?

No. Growth systems are the path from a visitor to a lead. A CRM is what happens after the lead exists. They can connect; they are not the same build.
