- The weekly export spreadsheet
A DeFi protocol’s growth team assembled recurring reports from transaction exports. LinkIT built an indexer and dashboard to make those metrics available directly.
The problem
Raw contract logs needed decoding and normalization before they could support useful reports. Values used different units, and an economic action could span several transactions. Metrics also needed to reconcile with their on-chain sources.
What we built
- An indexer that reads contract events and stores normalized records for queries.
- A dashboard with TVL, active wallets, fee revenue, retention and net-flow views, with drill-downs.
- Alerts for changes such as TVL drops or unusual flows.
The schema connects raw events to the actions and metrics shown in the dashboard.
How we approached it
The indexer was built first and its output compared with known on-chain values. Each dashboard metric was then checked against those records.
The indexer and dashboard were deployed early, and the team refined the presentation while reviewing live data.
Delivered system
The growth team can read protocol metrics in the dashboard and trace them back to indexed contract events.
